How To Pursue Your Passion in Music – The Thiago Trinsi Experience

Guest Post by Thiago Trisini

Hey there it’s Sal! Welcome back ! Hope you enjoyed a sample of Thiago’s shredding above!! Today, I’ve got a very awesome post for you from one of my kickass mate originally from Brazil but now living in Iceland THIAGO TRISINI!!

Not wasting any time, I’ll let Thiago take it from here…

About yourself

I started to play guitar at the age 13 influenced by Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, The Beatles and Steve Ray Vaughan, and through the years my list of influences never stopped.

I have this passion on me and the desire to do big things, I always dream about an endless song in mind and some times I get a little fragment of it and I try to re-create searching for the same feeling I had when I heard it for the first time, it is so amazing and for sure it reflects in my way to play and as long as that song keep playing I will be “On”, trying to solve this mystery.
I have 4 brothers and I am the only musician in my family, and for loving so much the music I try to be involved as much as I can in various fields of the music world like, composer,
arranger, orchestrator ( Music for films),performer, clinician, music instructor, and studio session player.. and guessing what people would think of it… I can answer right away ” No” I never get tired.

I had one of the greatest opportunity of taking part in the Ziua Chitarelor II guitar festival in 2010 in Bucharest Romania with some of the greatest guitar players in the worldlike Brett Garsed, Greg Howe, Michael Angelo Batio, Andy Timmons, Richard Hallebeek and Willian Stravato, that Experience changed my life from the 1st day I arrived there!

Also with performances in USA, New york and Florida, with a in-store performance in Sam Ash music store, and teaching as a guest teacher for the summer in the American Rock School Florida/ USA 2011
and this year 2012 in Orlando,FL USA doing Guitar Clinics releasing my new Instructional Video.

How were you before

I came from a very poor family from the south of Brazil, my father was a sales man and my mother was just working home taking care of
me and my brothers.
My parents want me to be a football player which is a very good business in Brazil and we had few relatives getting in to it already and I like the sport the second option was to be a doctor
but my mind was in the music, I wanted to study music and when I told them they were very disappointed.

But I kept on, I never gave up, Always believed life is full of surprises and doesn’t matter what you do you will always face hard and good times, ups and downs…at least doing what you like you will have strength
to get up every time you fall and be in the game again with full power learning your lesson to be better person, professional every day, in my opinion life is so short you got to do what yo want to do.

What made you decide to pursue your passion

I heard the song Brothers in Arms from Dire Straits and there was no words to explain how greatly it affected on me and I want to know what is it and how it works
I can feel every time I hear the song but I want to be able to do it my self, and from that moment until now I am still trying.

What steps did you take to be where you are now

I took it very serious, I was studying 10 hours a day, I got involved with projects and make things happen, I was lucky to be in the South of Brazil which has a very strong music culture,
soon I start teaching privet and then in few music schools where part of it I was learning more about music, I studied music for 8 years Guitar & Technology, Classic guitar/Brazilian styles, composition,

Orchestration,,

Dealing with problems you had

This is part of the cycle of life you had problems yesterday and you have some more today and for sure tomorrow,
the challenge is to get your way solving it searching for a perfect life this is what we live for.
